Frequently Asked Questions
What is the duration of each session?
Each session is between 45 and 60 minutes.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! I am in-network with Husky, Aetna, Anthem, and Cigna/Evernorth. If I am not in-network with your insurance carrier or you choose not to utilize your insurance, there is a self-pay option of $95 per session.
How often do we meet?
That depends on my availability, your availability, finances and clinical needs. Most clients like to start with once per week then move to every other week once they reach treatment goals.
How do I schedule?
You can call me, email me or use the contact form on my website to get in touch!
Do parents attend sessions?
That is up to the client and their comfort level. Sometimes children prefer a parent to be present until they feel comfortable in session alone.
What ages do you work with?
I work with children ages 7+ through young adulthood.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes! I use a HIPAA compliant platform called "Doxy" that I send you the link for. It will be the same link for each telehealth appointment.
What days and times do you hold sessions?
I am available Monday through Friday.
Monday through Thursday I start at 2pm with my last session at 5pm.
Fridays I am virtual only.
Are my sessions confidential?
What happens here, stays here.
Unless:
- you want to hurt yourself,
- someone else,
- if someone is hurting you
- or you give me permission to share
I am a mandated reporter which means I am legally required to report suspected, not proven, child abuse or neglect to authorities like child protective services or the police.
Do you provide court-ordered evaluations or custody evaluations?
My practice focuses on outpatient psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. I do not provide custody evaluations, forensic evaluations, or court-ordered evaluations.
Do you write letters so I could get an Emotional Support Animal?
My practice does not provide Emotional Support Animal (ESA) evaluations or letters. If you are seeking an ESA assessment, I encourage you to consult with a provider who specializes in these evaluations.
Is your practice the right fit for me?
I provide individual outpatient therapy for children (ages 7+), adolescents, and young adults. If your needs fall outside my scope of practice, I'm happy to provide referrals to help you connect with a provider who is the best fit.
